The major international "gateways" to enter the Philippines are: Metro-Manila, Cebu, Davao, Clark, Subic, and Laoag . The Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) in Manila is the premier gateway for international connections that is served by more than 30 International Airlines which fly to different cities around the world. The Mactan International Airport (MIA) in Cebu handles regular flights from Japan, Singapore and Australia as well as chartered flights from Hong Kong, the United States and other major travel capitals. The Davao International Airport handles regular flights from Indonesia and Singapore, while the Diosdado Macapagal International Airport (DMIA) at Clark (Province of Pampanga) and Subic airfield in near Olongapo City in Central Luzon service both chartered and cargo planes. Laoag International Airport in the City of Laoag (Province of Ilocos Norte) services regular flights from Taiwan and Macau.
 
As the nation's official flag-carrier, Philippine Airlines connects the capital city of Manila to all the other 14 international cities in 8 countries.  On the other side, major International Cruise Liners of various registry also call on the port of Manila.
